The company was formed in 1973 by George Newsome and now provides advice, equipment and services to the plastics, food and beverage, chemical and medical industries. Our clients include many well-known companies such as A-Safe, Meadowhall, BASF, Nestle, McVities and Greencore.
We operate from our 30,000 square foot facility in Elland, West Yorkshire. Our technical sales, service and hire teams are situated close to the main motorway networks so we can deliver a fast response to your individual needs right across the UK.

Richard joined Newsome as a Board Director in 2021, having previously been the Sales & Service Director at ICS Cool Energy Limited. With a proven track record in the process cooling and HVAC marketplace spanning over 30 years, Richard is leading Newsome’s growth strategy.

David joined Newsome straight from school, as an apprentice and started his working life at the company as a Project Manager and Draftsman. David then progressed through the ranks to become the Sales Director and joined the board as a company director in 1994. Over the last 37 years, he has obtained extensive knowledge of the HVAC and Humidity control sector and is well respected by colleagues and customers alike. A passionate engineer at work, David adopts a hands-on approach to leadership. In his spare time David runs a small holding with livery and a suite of tractors.

Simon embarked on his career with Newsome directly after completing his school education, joining as an apprentice in the HVAC division. Simon demonstrated a remarkable aptitude and commitment in this field, eventually leading him to the role of Humidity Control Director.
His exceptional leadership and knowledge were further recognised when he was appointed as the Service Director of the Newsome Group at the beginning of 2024. Simon continues to drive the company's growth and innovation, leveraging over 15 years of industry experience.

Having started his career as an apprentice at Newsome in 1996, Rob became a Board Director at Newsome in 2009 after progressing through the company. A HVAC specialist, Rob has extensive knowledge within the food and beverage sector with over 25 years of experience in the industry.
In his spare time, Rob enjoys playing underwater hockey (– also known as Octopush!).

Nick has worked in temperature control & humidity industry for over 17 years and joined Newsome as a project manager in 2016. Prior to joining Newsome, he was area sales engineer at Airdale International Air Conditioning Ltd for 5 years, following a 6 and a half year spell working at Fan Systems Group Ltd - designers and manufacturers of industrial fans and air movement products. In 2019 Nick moved across to the DST division of Newsome before being promoted to the role of Sales Director for DST Humidity in early 2022. Following a successful year, Nick then transitioned to his current role of Technical Director in 2023.
