Continued Cooling Support for Huel’s Production Facility

Here at Newsome, we are pleased to continue supporting Huel with their seasonal cooling requirements, following the successful renewal of a temporary HVAC solution at their Hertfordshire production facility for Summer 2026.

Our initial involvement with the site began in 2024, when we were asked to deliver a cooling solution capable of maintaining stable conditions across mezzanine-level production areas during periods of high ambient temperature. Following the strong performance of that installation, the system has now been renewed, forming part of Huel’s ongoing approach to managing seasonal heat loads.

Maintaining consistent environmental conditions remains essential for Huel’s operations, supporting both product quality and staff wellbeing. By renewing the existing system, the site has been able to retain a proven solution that continues to deliver reliable performance without the need for redesign or reconfiguration.

The system centres around a packaged process chiller and multiple air handling units, working together to provide consistent and evenly distributed cooling across the production space. This configuration has already demonstrated its effectiveness during previous summer periods, maintaining stable internal temperatures even during extended periods of high external heat.

A key benefit of this approach is the ability to deliver cooling where it is needed most. By distributing air handling units across the mezzanine level, we have ensured that airflow reaches all critical areas, reducing the risk of hotspots and maintaining a balanced temperature profile throughout the space. The decision to renew the system reflects both its performance and its suitability for the site. Rather than introducing new equipment, Huel has chosen to build on a solution that is already fully understood and integrated into their operation. This provides continuity, reduces risk and ensures that cooling support is in place ahead of peak summer demand.

This project highlights the growing importance of flexible HVAC strategies within modern production environments. Seasonal hire solutions allow businesses to respond to changing conditions without committing to permanent infrastructure while still maintaining the level of control required for efficient operation.

We are pleased to continue working with Huel and supporting their production facility as demand continues to grow. By combining reliable equipment with ongoing technical support, we help ensure that critical environments remain stable, even during the most challenging conditions.
