Newsome Welcomes Ben Gale as Rental Sales Engineer for London and the South East
Here at Newsome, we are pleased to welcome Ben Gale to the business as our new Rental Sales Engineer, strengthening our presence across London and the South East. Ben joins us with over eight years of experience in technical sales within the HVAC rental sector, bringing valuable knowledge and a strong understanding of how to support businesses operating in demanding environments.
His appointment reflects our continued investment in regional expertise and our commitment to providing responsive, technically led support to clients across the UK. With a focus on rental solutions and contingency planning, Ben will play a key role in helping organisations prepare for and respond to cooling system failures.
Strengthening Our Rental and Emergency Response Offering
Ben’s experience is centred on supporting businesses during critical cooling failures, where speed of response and correct system specification are essential. In many industrial and commercial environments, loss of cooling can quickly lead to production disruption, product loss and financial impact.
By expanding our team in the South East, we are strengthening our ability to respond quickly to these situations, ensuring that clients have access to both local support and nationwide engineering capability. Ben will work closely with our internal teams to deliver practical, site-specific solutions that minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity.
Free Emergency Cooling Contingency Planning
As part of his role, Ben will be offering free, site-specific emergency cooling contingency plans to businesses across his region. These plans are designed to provide a clear and structured response in the event of a cooling system failure, ensuring that action can be taken without delay. Each plan includes a detailed site survey, allowing us to fully understand the layout, infrastructure and operational requirements of the facility. Based on this, we prepare a comprehensive RAMS document that outlines how equipment can be deployed safely and efficiently.
In addition, we provide a pre-approved quotation that can be activated immediately if required. This removes delays at a critical time, allowing equipment and engineering support to be mobilised quickly.
For most sites, Ben can complete the survey and provide both the RAMS documentation and quotation within a short timeframe following the visit, giving clients a ready-to-use contingency plan ahead of any potential issues.
Minimising Downtime and Protecting Operations
Having a contingency plan in place is an important step in managing operational risk. In the event of a cooling failure affecting a production line or critical process, time is often the most important factor. By preparing in advance, businesses can ensure that the correct equipment is specified and ready to be deployed without delay. This approach reduces downtime, protects product quality and helps maintain revenue during unexpected disruptions.
Ben will work directly with clients to ensure that each plan is tailored to their specific requirements, providing confidence that a practical solution is in place should it be needed.
Supporting a Wide Range of HVAC Requirements
Alongside contingency planning, Ben will also support clients with a broad range of HVAC services provided by Newsome. This includes full turnkey solutions for HVAC replacement projects, covering everything from system design through to installation and commissioning. We offer flexible options depending on project requirements, including solutions with or without pipework and electrical installation. Our in-house engineering teams provide comprehensive HVAC M&E services, ensuring that systems are delivered and integrated to a high standard. In addition, we provide planned preventative maintenance contracts and competitive parts pricing, helping clients maintain system performance and manage long-term operating costs.
Strong Manufacturer Partnerships
A key strength of Newsome lies in our established relationships with leading manufacturers across the HVAC sector. These partnerships allow us to specify high-quality equipment while remaining competitive on cost.
By working closely with manufacturers, we ensure access to reliable systems, technical support and ongoing product development. This enables us to deliver solutions that are both technically robust and commercially viable. Ben will work within this framework to provide clients with solutions that meet both performance requirements and budget expectations.
Local Support with Nationwide Capability
Ben’s role focuses on London and the South East, providing local support to businesses within this region. This ensures that clients benefit from a dedicated point of contact who understands their site and operational challenges.
At the same time, he is supported by Newsome’s wider engineering and operational teams, allowing us to deliver nationwide coverage. This combination of local knowledge and national capability ensures that we can respond effectively to both routine requirements and urgent situations.
Looking Ahead
We are pleased to welcome Ben to the Newsome team and look forward to the contribution he will make as we continue to expand our rental and service offering across the UK.
